There has always been some level of interest in seeing Maguire get one more solo Spider-Man movie, especially after Spider-Man 3's reception. However, the development process never fully came together, resulting in Sony moving on from Raimi's vision in favor of a reboot. The movie was supposed to release in 2011 and continue the successful franchise. There is also the possibility that Maguire's Spider-Man return interest could actually help Sony move forward with Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4. I love these films and I love all of the different series. Based on his answer, it sounds like the Spider-Man trilogy star is ready for anything that Marvel wants him to do that involves playing the superhero again. It was while answering one question about returning for Spider-Man: No Way Home that Maguire, unprompted, shared his desire to keep playing Spider-Man. Now more than a year after the movie's release, the original Spider-Man star has opened up about the idea of coming back again.
